Florida Red Honey
Harvested each spring in the forests and swamps of Florida's Panhandle, our Florida Red Honey comes primarily from black titi (Cliftonia monophylla) along with a variety of native spring wildflowers.
This honey stands out for its deep reddish-amber color and bold flavor. Compared to lighter honeys such as clover, Florida Red Honey has a richer taste with more depth and character. It starts sweet, followed by subtle tangy notes and a long-lasting finish that keeps you coming back for another spoonful.
Black titi grows naturally throughout the wetlands and lowland forests of the southeastern United States and produces one of the region's most distinctive honey crops. Combined with the nectar of spring wildflowers, it creates a honey that reflects the unique landscape of Florida's Panhandle.
Florida Red Honey pairs well with tea, biscuits, toast, yogurt, and aged cheeses, but many of our customers prefer it straight from the jar.
